Guardian League Table ranks UWTSD 1st in Wales in 7 subjects

UWTSD has been placed 1^stin Wales in 7 subjects in the Guardian University League Table 2024.

The Guardianranks universities according to nine different measures: including how satisfied final-year students are with their courses, teaching and feedback, spending per student; the student/staff ratio; graduate career prospects; what grades applicants need to get a place; a value-added score that compares students’ entry qualifications with their final degree results.

The University was placed 1^stin Wales in:

• Fashion & Textiles:1^stin Wales and 3^rdin the UK
• Film Production & Photography:1^stin Wales and 4^thin the UK
• Fine Art:1^stin Wales and 21^stin the UK
• Graphic Design:1^stin Wales and 11^thin the UK
• Mechanical Engineering:1^stin Wales and 11^thin the UK
• Sports Science:1^stin Wales and 20^thin the UK

Professor Mirjam Plantinga, the University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor Academic Experience at the University said:

It shows the strength of our subjects across our campuses. The excellent results for the University’s Art and Design provision, which includes Swansea College of Art and Coleg Sir Gâr, as well as for our Education programmes in Swansea and Carmarthen demonstrate the University’s longstanding reputation for these subjects.”
